Out w/ the old and in w/ the new. We cleaned the house today of any evidence of Christmas. It's a sad, but good feeling at the same time. The last month was SO busy. I'm looking forward to slowing down.....
Where to put our Christmas tree is always an issue. Thankfully, my good friend, Sheila (who lives two houses down) has woods behind her house. Eddie drags the tree to her woods late at night....careful that none of her neighbors see...like a thief in the night. Our $8000.00 a year that we pay in taxes doesn't pay for tree or leaf pickup. If we lived in the "village" of Baldwinsville, we'd pay $9-10,000 a year for taxes on the same house...but by golly, our tree would be picked up! Oh, and we'd also have Baldwinsville/city police patrol. How very necessary. (that's sarcasm...)

What does slowing down look like for you? ...look who's talking...
Taxes are great. Don't feel bad we pay the same and don't get services like as well.
we have cheaper taxes and guess what tree pickup is tomorrow. but we pay a car tax on our registered vehicles. that $500 every Jan sucks. you win some you lose some.
