KUDOS to our elementary school music teacher. The first graders put on a wonderful performance today complete with singing, DANCING, and speaking roles. I can only imagine how much hard work and time she must have put into teaching this 45 minute performance to 75 first graders! Emmett was chosen for a speaking role! Emmett is often chosen for these activities (student council AND he was just picked to be one of only 2 first graders to perform in a back to school performance in September!), and it makes me super happy because he's typically very quiet and shy - not really an outgoing child. I love that he is picked for these things despite that (or maybe because of that?).
Anyway - we spent the better of the last 5 weeks memorizing his lines, and he did an AWESOME job!
